We are located at 4098 Regional Rd 9, Orono, Ontario, L0B 1M0. This is both our physical and mailing address. Our road may appear as Durham Road 9 or Ganaraska Road, depending on the app or GPS device.

No, Brimacombe offers downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Tailgate parties in our parking lots are not permitted – this includes open flame, tables, chairs, or anything that takes up an additional parking spot. Consuming alcohol, recreational drug usage, music playing at an excessive volume and large gatherings will not be tolerated.
No, we do not have public WiFi.
Brimacombe Accepts the following payment methods: Cash, Debit, Visa, Brimacombe Gift Cards, Mastercard and Amex.
Please note: Our kiosks in Parking lot 2 and 4 do not accept cash.
We have Cubby’s and lockers located on the bottom level of the East and West Chalet, were you can store your belongings while Skiing or Snowboarding.
Helmets are only mandatory in the Terrain Parks but they are highly recommended.
Brimacombe is on private property which means we do not allow animals on the hill, chalet or parking lots. The only animals allowed on Brimacombe Property are service animals.
Lift Tickets
Lift ticket rates depend on your age, day and time you’re visiting and the length of your visit. Click here to view lift ticket rate ranges.
If you plan on going on the Magic Carpet with your child, you will both need a lift ticket. However you are allowed to walk up beside the Magic Carpet without a lift ticket.
Yes, You can wait in the Chalet for your Friends and Family if you are not Skiing or Snowboarding.
Beginner: It’s your first time skiing or snowboarding. You prefer to stay on Bambi
Novice: You are comfortable making turns and stopping. You can go down Green’s and some Blue slopes. You are getting comfortable using the chairlift but might require some assistance.
Intermediate: You can Ski/ Snowboard with confidence on Blue slopes and some Black diamonds.
Expert: You can Ski/Snowboard on every slope, terrain or conditions on the hill.
Night Skiing/Snowboarding starts at 4:00 P.M., Our lift tickets are for 4 hours with the ability to extend your ticket for $20.00.
Yes, You can purchase a lift ticket with a Gift Card.
No, we cannot reissue you a lift ticket, as we have no proof that it is lost.
No problem, we can reissue you a new lift ticket for exchange for the ripped/broken or damaged lift ticket.
If you bring your jacket with you to Guest Services we will happily take it off and re- attach it for you. Brimacombe will be happy to help you but we cannot give you scissors to cut the lift ticket yourself as it’s a safety reason.
Food Services
Yes, You can purchase food at the Bullwheel, located on the second level of the East and West Chalets.
Yes, You can bring your own lunch, snacks or drinks to Brimacombe.
Yes, Brimacombe has Gluten Wise Toast and Bread available for purchase at the Bullwheel. These items may come in contact with Gluten as not all Ingredients used in the Bullwheel are Gluten Free.
No, Brimacombe does not have nor sell Alcohol on it’s property. Alcohol cannot be consumed on Brimacombe property including parking lots.
No, we do not have a Microwave.
Bullwheel offers a variety of food from Poutine, Fries, Burgers, Veggie Burgers, Wraps and Sandwiches, Chicken Fingers, Chili, Hot Dog, Breakfast All Day to Soups of the day & Salads and Baked Goods, etc. We also have a variety of drinks from Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Tea/Apple Cider, Slushies and a variety of Bottled Pop.
Membership & Season Passes
No, when you purchase a night pass you can only Ski/Snowboard during night Skiing. Night skiing is from 4:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.
No, when you purchase a Single Night Pass you can only Ski/Snowboard on the night you selected when buying your Season Pass.

If you purchase a season pass with the intention of skiing or snowboarding during the season. With the exception of pass protection and a doctors note there is no refund.
We know you’re looking forward to the season as much as we are, but we also know that things don’t always go according to plan. That’s why we offer Pass Protection to each passholder, providing coverage for you and your ski pass investment when the unexpected happens.
Pass Protection provides coverage on your qualifying Membership or Season Pass products against serious medical situations (including injury) that prevent you from using your pass, employment transfers that require relocation greater than 125 km from Brimacombe or pregnancy/childbirth.
PLUS, if you purchase your passes early, enjoy Early Purchase Peace of Mind Coverage because a lot can happen over the before the season starts! Pass Protection’s Early Purchase Peace of Mind Coverage allows for the cancellation and full refund of the Protected Pass holder’s qualifying Membership or Season Pass less applicable fees until the October 15 preceding the applicable season. No matter the reason.
Pass Protection is only available when purchasing a qualifying Brimacombe Membership or Season Pass or within 24 hours of initial purchase (by phone or email). It cannot be purchased at a later date.
No refund or credit will be considered without the purchase of Pass Protection.

An ability level is a short way of classifying skiers and snowboarders based on skills, skiing and boarding ability, and how well they ski or board beginner, intermediate, or advanced trails. Knowing what your ability level is often necessary when purchasing a lesson.
Knowing your skiing or snowboarding ability level will also make sure that you get the most out of your lesson.
Level 1 Exploration Bronze – Your first skiing experience begins here! (Step 1)
Level 2 Exploration Silver – You’re able to complete linked snowplow turns and are working on bringing your skis parallel. (Step 2)
Level 3 Exploration Gold – You can complete part of the turn with skis in parallel, on green terrain. (Step 3)
Level 4 Exploration Bronze – You’re confident completing basic parallel turns (no wedge) on green terrain and you’re ready to master the same on blue terrain. (Step 4)
Level 5 Exploration Silver – You’ve learned to complete basic parallel turns on blue terrain, but you’re looking to make it look good. (Step 5)
Level 6 Exploration Gold – You’re able to complete rhythmical and linked parallel turns on blue terrain. (Step 6)
Level 7 Performance Bronze – You’re able to complete linked performance parallel turns, but you want to develop control on all types of terrain. (Step 7)
Level 8 Performance Silver – You execute linked performance turns while adapting to varying terrain. (Step 8)
Level 9 Performance Gold – In your dreams! Stop by the main office to apply as a ski pro. (Step 9)
Looking to introduce your little one to skiing or snowboarding? This popular and unique group program teaches you tips and tricks on how to work with your child on the slopes. This program delivers 1 hour of instruction each week, for seven weeks, by Brimacombe’s experienced and professional instructors and is tailored to introducing tots to the slopes (Never Evers and Beginners Only).
Students will receive a progress evaluation at the end of the program. Lift access for each lesson for the Parent and Tot is included and is valid for the duration of the lesson.
At the Parent & Tot level, consistency with attendance is very important. We will make every attempt to catch you up, however it may be difficult to match you with your group if attendance is irregular.
Yes, all staff are certified with either the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance or the Canadian Association of Snowboarding Instructors.
All lessons will run as scheduled if the facility is open.
Operational Hours will be posted on the snow line phone and our website as early as possible. We do not call the participants. We will postpone the lesson from that week to a later date.
For medical reasons only. A Doctor’s note must be submitted. If the program has started the refund will be pro-rated, if the program has not begun a full refund will be provided.
Yes, the first couple of weeks of lessons are meant to sort out everyone’s ability and make proper changes to classes if needed.
Yes. If your child is 5, 6, or 7 and you are a competent skier or snowboarder, you can volunteer to assist with getting children up the lifts. The instructor is in charge of the class. We welcome all parents to help out with Ski Camp/ Lessons.
No, you do not need to be a member to take a lesson with Snow School. Everyone is welcome.
Retail – Slope Side
Slopeside store is open during the operating hours of the hill. Visit the website below for more information on Brimacombe’s Slopeside hours of operations.
Slopeside sells a variety of Skiing and Snowboarding goods. Starting with Youth and Adult Skis, Snowboards, Boots, Bindings, Helmets, Googles, Gloves/Mittens, Neck Warmers, Jackets, Snowpants, Skiing Racing Equipment, Hot Shots, Brimacombe Merch, Stickers and many other goodies.
Slopesides return policy is 30 days with Exchange or Store credit only.
As boots are an important aspect of your Skiing/Snowboarding experience, Slopeside staff have been properly trained in boot fittings. A proper boot fitting takes approximately 1 hour.
Slopeside offers a trade in program based on the condition of the skis/snowboard for both Youth and Adult equipment.
The turnaround time for Skis or Snowboard services is approximately one to two days. It depends on the volume of services required.
Rental Equipment is available at the East Chalet located at Gate 4. You can purchase rental equipment at the Lift ticket Kiosk in the parking lot or the Outdoor Guest Services Office.
Brimacombe is one of the only ski hills in Ontario which allow you to try the skis before buying them. We have a no charge Demo program that is based on the availability of the equipment.
If you plan on trying skis, we recommend you demo them on week days as weekends tend to be busier for demo’s.
Rental Equipment
Rental Equipment is available at the East Chalet located at Gate 4. You can purchase rental equipment at the Lift ticket Kiosk in the parking lot or the Outdoor Guest Services Office.
Rental Equipment can be picked up in our Rental Shop located beside the Slopeside store.
Yes, as there are a lot of 7-week program participants we have rental equipment available for the duration of the season which can be brought home. This is an additional cost.

The smallest Ski’s that Brimacombe has for rental are 67 cm.
All Snow School rental equipment needs to be returned on the last day of your program.
If the Rental Equipment is not retuned on the last day of your program. Your credit card on file will be charged our daily rental rate until the equipment is returned.
Yes, all rental equipment requires an ID to rent.
Yes, with a parent/legal guardian permission either by letter, in person or on the phone.
Yes, for snowboard equipment and helmets.
Yes, You can switch rental equipment for a $10 fee for equipment setup.
Yes, You can switch rental equipment for a $10 fee for equipment setup. All rental equipment is inspected each time it is issued and returned. All bindings are calibrated before the start of the season, and randomly checked in season, as per manufacturer guidelines.
School & Group Trips
Brimacombe School trip rates requires a minimum of 20 students and there is no maximum number required.
Brimacombe utilizes a Graduated Lift Pass System for all school participants, marking each student’s lift
ticket with a sticker based on their ability level as assessed by trained resort staff. These stickers are
coloured symbols that coincide with our trail marking system and indicate the runs that student can
access.
Upon arrival all students receive an X-Pass (basic school lift ticket) which provides them with access to
our beginner area only. After assessment by a trained resort team member, students may receive an
additional sticker on their lift pass to indicate any additional runs they can access during their visit.
X-PASS – Basic School Lift Ticket | Can be used on Bambi Trail Via the Magic Carpet conveyor lift only. |
Green Circle (Beginner) | Can be used on Brimacombe’s easiest runs, designated by a matching Green symbol, via any chair lift, T-Bar or Conveyor lift. |
Blue Square (Intermediate) | Can be used on Brimacombe’s easiest and difficult runs (designated by a Green Circle or Matching Blue Square symbol) via any chair lift, T-Bar or Conveyor lift. |
Black Diamond (Expert) | Can be used on all Brimacombe’s runs (Excluding the Terrain Park via all lifts) |
Yes, to properly determine the skiing/snowboarding of the students, they take a lesson and get evaluated on their skills.

There is not a maximum or minimum number of visits required for school groups.
Yes, according to OSBIE guidelines all students taking part of a school group skiing/snowboarding activity must take a lesson.
The bus will drop you off in lot 4 and stay in lot 4 until your school group is leaving. When you arrive a Brimacombe staff will greet your bus the first day/night of your program and give you directions and instructions.
Payment is expected on the first day/night of group visits prior to lessons.
Operational hours will be posted on the snow line phone and on our website as early as possible. We do not call participants. We will postpone the lesson and trip to the following week.
Within reason we will attempt to reschedule and makeup the missed lesson and trip for your school group.
Terrain Park Pass
Yes, We require a Legal Guardian to sign all waivers of those under the age of 18.
No, unfortunately they need to come to the front desk in order for Brimacombe to witness the signature.
No, unfortunately your sibling is not your Legal Guardian therefore they cannot sign for you even if your Legal Guardian is not here. You are welcome to bring the waiver home and have your Legal Guardian sign it at home and bring it back to Brimacombe on your next visit.
Instead of having both passes on you at all times, visit Guest Services and give them your Park Pass. They will add a Park Pass sticker to your regular Season Pass.
No, to go in the park you need your Park Pass. You will need to repurchase a Park Pass at your own cost. You will not have to redo the Terrain Park test again. Once Brimacombe receives the payment we will reissue you a new card.

You have unlimited attempts at obtaining a 80% of the test. If you pass but do not get 100% we will go over the wrong answers with you before giving out your pass.
