GET PREPARED IN ADVANCE!

  • Do you still need to pick up your program pass?
    • Is your waiver signed?
    • Have you submitted required photos?
  • Do you need to pick up rental equipment or a pre-purchased helmet?

If you need to complete one or more of the above tasks, please read the corresponding section below!

We strongly recommend completing as many tasks as possible prior to the first day of lessons! We highly recommend coming at least 60 minutes prior to your lesson start time if you still have tasks to complete on the day of your lesson.

Brimacombe is not responsible for lesson time missed due to wait times on the first day and missed class time will not be made up.

OBTAINING YOUR 2024 BRIMACOMBE LESSON PROGRAM CARD(S)

ATTENTION MEMBERS AND SEASON PASSHOLDERS: If you are a Member or Season Passholder with a pass that is valid during the time of your lesson program you will NOT be issued a lesson program card. Please wear your membership and/or season pass for the duration of your lesson program for lift access.

Program Card Pick-up
If you opted to pick-up your lesson program card(s) or did not complete the required components by the mailing deadline, please read the instructions below. Help us manage line-ups on the first day of lessons by picking up your program card(s) in advance.

On the day of your visit we ask that you:

  1. Please check our hours of operation here
  2. Enter and park at Brimacombe via Gate 4 (4098 Regional Road 9, Orono ON, L0B 1M0)
  3. Park in the main lot and proceed to the East Chalet to the exterior Guest Services windows on the south-east end of the chalet

Please note, if we are missing any information, this may cause a delay in your pick-up processing as we will collect this from you prior to issuing the lesson program card(s).

Waiver
All participants must complete and sign Brimacombe’s 2023-24 General Waiver from a tablet or computer. Participants under the age of 18 will require a parent/guardian signature to complete the waiver. This should be done through the Family waiver option. If you are unable to complete your waiver online, please call 905-983-5983 to discuss your options.

Pass Photos
Please be aware, if you had a photo on file with us from a previous season, we have updated our system and were unable to transfer over any existing photos. As a result, all lesson participants are required to submit a new photo this season. All Program Cards must have a picture that reflects your current appearance. If you have not already submitted a photo during the application process, please upload your photo using our Photo Submission form below or visit us during office hours and have your photo taken at the Main Office.

You cannot join your lesson without your lesson program card (or valid Membership/Season Pass Card). Brimacombe is not responsible for lesson time missed due to wait times on the first day and missed class time will not be made up.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL PACKAGES

If you need rental equipment for your multi-week lesson program and have not already purchased a package, it is strongly recommended that you arrange your rentals prior to the first day of lessons. To add an equipment and/or helmet rental, please call Guest Services at 905-983-5983.

Multi-Week Rental Package Pick-UpSeven-week rental packages are still available for pick-up at Slopeside Skis & Board. New this season, ski packages, snowboard packages and non-helmet items in the tot packages will be available for take home, but only while supplies last! These take home packages are available on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last, so visit us today to avoid missing out on this take-home bonus!
Once take home packages run out, participants will be required to pick up and return their equipment immediately before and after each lesson.

A rental agreement must be completed for each renting participant and submitted at initial pick-up. Please click here to complete this form in advance to save time during pick-up. Please note, this form MUST be printed in colour. Hard copies will also be available at Slopeside Skis & Boards at pick-up.

Please note, a credit card or cash deposit of up to $350.00 is required on each rental package, on the first day of pick-up. Renters under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian signature on the rental agreement. Rental Packages must be returned on the last day of your program. Late returns will be subject to the late fees indicated on your rental form.

7-Week Helmet Rentals:
Helmets will be available for pick-up on the day of each lesson from the Rental Shop and must be returned the same day.

Please note, a credit card or cash deposit of $30.00 is required on helmet rentals on the first day of pick-up. Renters under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian signature on the rental agreement.

Helmet Purchases:
If you have pre-purchased a Helmet-to-Own through our special offer on the Snow School registration form, your pre-order has been recorded for you at Slopeside Skis and Boards. Please visit during hours of operation and give your name to a retail associate for your personalized helmet fitting.

Please note, Brimacombe is not responsible for lesson time missed due to pick up wait times on the first day and missed class time will not be made up. No program credits or refunds will be considered on Lesson Program Rentals without the purchase of Lesson Program Protection.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Snow School participants are required to wear an appropriate ski/snowboard helmet during their lesson. Participants may bring their own helmet or choose a rental option for an additional fee. Brimacombe is not responsible for lesson time missed due to failing to wear a helmet and/or an appropriate helmet.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR LESSON

Please arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your lesson start time to allow adequate time to complete any outstanding tasks such as pass pick-up, equipment rental pick-up and to find your class number. If you need to complete more than one task, please allow additional time.

Dress for the Weather
As an outdoor facility, Brimacombe is subject to many different weather conditions and part of learning to ski or snowboard is learning to enjoy the sport in all kinds of winter weather! If Brimacombe is open, scheduled programs will run. We recommend you take a moment to review the forecasted weather and dress appropriately – you can learn more here and view our Winter Ready Checklist here..

Arriving at Brimacombe
Please park in Parking Lot #4 via Gate #4 to ensure easy access to your check-in location, rental shop and lesson meeting point.

Spectators/Non-Participants
We know you’re excited to watch, however it’s important that all spectators/non-participants respect our lift-ticket only zones. Non-participant foot traffic is not allowed on the slopes, including Bambi run. Please do not go beyond the “Lift ticket required beyond this point” signs.

Equipment Rental Packages
If you need to pick up pre-booked rentals on the day of your lesson, please be at the Rental Shop at least 60 minutes prior to your lessons start time to allow for processing and fitting of your equipment.

Please note, a credit card or cash deposit of up to $350.00 is required on each rental package, on the first day of pick-up. A deposit of $30.00 is required on helmet rentals on the first day of pick-up. Renters under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian signature on the rental agreement.

Finding your Class
An on-hill supervisor will be present to help guide and assist you to your class number. Please arrive at the Snow School 15 minutes prior to your lesson. Group Classes will line up at their numbers posted on the fence line across from the conveyor lift on the Bambi run. For snowboarders, your number is most likely posted on the fence going up the slope. Please proceed directly to your assigned class number and an instructor will be there to greet you at your lesson start time. If you are in the Multi-Week Private Lesson Program, please meet at the Private Lesson Flag located outside the East Chalet exterior Guest Services windows.

Slope Access
Participants in a scheduled Snow School program will have slope-access for the duration of their lesson only. Each participant must wear their Program Card, unless they have a valid Membership or Season Pass card, which must be worn when using the lifts for the duration of the lesson.

If you have not yet picked-up your lesson program card(s) or if you have not yet received your program card(s) please read the instructions above. Participants looking to ski or snowboard before or after their scheduled lesson time, will need to purchase a lift ticket or have a valid membership/season pass.

Missed Classes, Facility Closures, Lesson Cancellations and Late Arrivals
Brimacombe reserves the right to close some or all of its business operations due to inclement weather or other operational considerations. In the event of a facility closure, due to enrolment numbers in our lessons and programs, we are unable to call participants in the event of an unscheduled closure. Any email updates will be sent to the email address you provided us for our files. Alternatively, you can check the Brimacombe website and social media for updates.

Missed lesson time by students in a multi-week program cannot be made up.
