UNIQUE HOLIDAY CONTEST PROMISES WINNER A WHITE CHRISTMAS

Back to All Posts

CLARINGTON, Ont. – In what is becoming a holiday tradition, Brimacombe ski area launched their third seasonal #SendMeSnow giveaway this week – offering one lucky household the promise of snow, just in time for the holidays! The winner of this one-of-a-kind contest will receive up to 25 yards of snow spread across their front lawn on December 24, 2018.

To enter this unique contest, snow-enthusiasts must visit sendmesnow.brimacombe.ca and share just a few contact details. To help plead their case, entrants must also explain, in 1,000 characters or less, why their green front yard is deserving of a “winter-vention”. The contest closes December 22, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and the winner will be selected by a panel and notified on December 23.

“Snow has always been seen as a special part of the holidays here in Canada,” says Mark Rutherford, General Manager, “but sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. Fortunately, Brimacombe’s new automated snowmaking system is pumping snow onto our slopes, and we’re excited to have this opportunity to share some of it – a dump truck full, in fact – this holiday season.”

Brimacombe’s #SendMeSnow contest is open to the public and free to enter. The ski area promises there are no catches, but wants to remind entrants there are some quirky “Contest Rules, Facts and Not-So-Tiny Print” that they should be aware of. For example, entrants must either own their property or have written permission from the owner, as well as live within a 150 kilometre radius of the ski area. While complete details are available on the contest page, there’s one additional point they want to make clear.

“There are no ‘give-backs’,” says Courtney Pope, Marketing & Communications Manager. “Once we dump the snow, we aren’t coming back! This will be the one and only time you get a literal ‘dumping’ of snow and won’t have to clear your drive and walkways after!”
