Blowout Sale & Ski/Snowboard Swap at Brimacombe

Are you looking for incredible deals on ski equipment, boards and outerwear before the season? Whether you’re looking for a deal on brand new equipment we’ve carried over from last season, or you’re searching for the right size used equipment, we’ll have a great selection of new & pre-owned skis, boards, boots, outerwear, accessories and more. No experience fitting equipment? No problem! We will have volunteers and team members on-site to answer all the questions you might have.
To attend Blowout Sale & Ski/Board Swap on Sunday, October 19, you must purchase a ticket online in advance – your ticket reserves one spot for your chosen shopping timeslot. Tickets are $2 each and must be purchased in advance online for EACH family member attending to reserve your shopping timeslot. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Adaptive skiing programs at Brimacombe including the Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (CADS) – Durham program. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m.! Interested in selling your equipment at the swap? Equipment registration and drop off is in advance only! Register each item for $2 per item (*MEMBER PERK* – Brimacombe Members get 50% off equipment registration fees!). You set the price, but we will have someone on site to help you price your item. Please note, items must be in good condition and not more than 10 years of age. We will also be accepting race suits and race jackets! Brimacombe reserves the right to turn away equipment. Helmets, cross-country skis and clothing are not accepted. Equipment will not be accepted on the day of the swap or outside of the drop off dates listed below. REGISTRATION/DROP OFF DATES: Wednesday, October 15 – 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brimacombe East Chalet Thursday, October 16 – 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Garnet B Rickard (Parking Lot) in Bowmanville Friday, October 17 – 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brimacombe East Chalet Saturday, October 18 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brimacombe East Chalet Sales Commission: Brimacombe retains 25% of each sale if you take your payout in cheque/etransfer OR Brimacombe retains 15% of each sale if you take your payout in the form of a Brimacombe Credit. UNSOLD EQUIPMENT/PAYOUT PICK UP Equipment and sales from equipment cannot be picked up during the sale. Please see pick up days below. Monday, October 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Equipment not claimed by Tuesday, October 28, 2025 will be forfeited and considered a donation to the Oshawa Ski Club o/a Brimacombe.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The Brimacombe team is currently seeking volunteers to help with our annual Blowout Sale and Ski/Board Swap on Sunday, October 19 at Brimacombe (4098 Durham Road 9, Orono, ON L0B 1M0), as well as some of the equipment drop off days leading up to the swap. On your application you will be asked to indicate which day(s)/time(s) you are interested in helping. Individuals may volunteer for as few as one shift or as many as all of them. Shift times can vary depending on availability/interest. High School Students may be eligible to claim community involvement hours (students are strongly encouraged to verify with their school that the activity will count towards completion of their 40 hours).
