Camp Brimacombe Registration Now Open For Summer 2021

Back to All Posts

While our slopes are still covered in snow, we can’t help but get excited about another summer of Camp Brimacombe!

At Camp Brimacombe, the safety of our campers and employees is our first priority and we aim to create a program that we would send our own children to. Last summer, Camp Brimacombe made a number of changes to its day camp program to accommodate physical distancing and incorporate strict hygiene/sanitation protocols. With these changes, Camp Brimacombe was able to safely deliver 12 weeks of day camp programming for campers ages 4 to 12.

As we look ahead to this summer, we know that there are still many unknowns, but our team is committed to actively monitoring and following guidance from our federal and provincial governments, public health agency and our local public health officials.

As an outdoor-based camp, we are fortunate to have over 100 acres of terrain to utilize as well as multi-level chalets, making physical distancing between campers and groups more feasible. In addition, as a recipient of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund Grant, Brimacombe will be installing new concrete pads to expand outdoor use for camp group activities and seating, to accommodate our cohort groups and to promote physical distancing between campers. Further, we will be bringing in two new hand wash stations and converting our top-level chalet windows with operable ones to allow for increased airflow and indoor camp space.

For summer 2021 we will continue to run full-week day camps with smaller groups, and we will not be offering our Before and After Care Program, Leaders-In-Training Camp or our 1-Day Camps at this time.

The COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving and we would like to thank all of our camper parents/guardians for their understanding and patience.

As this situation is ever-changing week-to-week, we continue to monitor the current circumstances and adjust accordingly. As such, we will not be releasing our Parent Camper Handbook until June 2021, when we will have a firm direction with the policies and procedures we will have in place for the summer.

We are grateful for your trust and support as we navigate these challenging times.

We understand that many parents/guardians may have questions about this summer and we are more than happy to discuss what last summer was like and what our plans are for this summer. Please do not hesitate to reach out directly at
